OnlyFans Content Scandal Uncovered in Bangkok
In a recent crackdown in Bangkok, a couple was arrested for exploiting underage boys by creating and distributing explicit content on the OnlyFans platform. The arrest occurred in the couple's apartment located in the Lat Krabang district of Bangkok.
Investigation and Arrest Details
The suspects, identified as Phakphum, 29, and Keerati, 30, whose full names have been withheld, were apprehended by the Anti-Trafficking in Persons Division (ATPD) of the Bangkok Police. The ATPD, led by Pol Maj Gen Songklod Kirkkitaya, launched the investigation following suspicious activities observed on two social media accounts linked to the couple.
Social Media Influence and Illicit Activities
These accounts boasted over 570,000 followers and featured more than 300 explicit posts that promoted videos on OnlyFans, a content subscription service popularly known for adult content. Undercover investigations confirmed that Phakphum and Keerati were the administrators of these accounts, curating content that included the involvement of underage boys below 17 years.
Confessions and Legal Proceedings
Upon their arrest, Phakphum and Keerati admitted to producing the explicit material as a source of extra income starting from 2021. Through their activities, they reportedly earned over 4 million baht (approximately USD 110,000) over a period of four years. The couple confessed to engaging strangers and underage boys in sexual acts, which Keerati participated in, while Phakphum handled the filming.
Charges and Custody
The Criminal Court issued arrest warrants on August 21, leading to the charges against the couple that include human trafficking, production and distribution of child pornography, and enticing minors for sexual purposes. Following their confessions, Phakphum and Keerati were transferred to the custody of ATPD Sub-division 1 for further legal procedures.
