Wider Context of Revenue’s Tax Defaulters List
This disclosure is part of the Revenue's routine effort to publicize information on tax defaulters. Among other notable mentions in the list was Stevenstown Transport Limited, a haulage firm which is now in liquidation and faced an outstanding debt of €1,817,125 predominantly due to under-declared excise and VAT. The company, located at the Kilcullen Industrial Estate, Co Kildare, still has an unpaid balance of €1,762,994.
Other entities and individuals such as Dayton Investments, a Dublin-based horse breeding company, and Paul Howard, a landlord and construction service provider, were also listed for their significant tax under-declarations, facing draconian penalties and settlements.
In the cases highlighted, including a courier and a skincare clinic, the Revenue's vigilant approach to ensuring compliance with tax obligations is evident, reflecting its commitment to maintaining fairness in the fiscal framework by addressing discrepancies across diverse sectors and professions.
