Overview of Legal Proceedings Involving OnlyFans Model

Ellie Rixon, a 20-year-old OnlyFans model from Nunsford Close, Litherland, faced Liverpool Crown Court after being convicted of producing and distributing indecent images of a minor. Despite these serious charges, Rixon avoided a custodial sentence.

Details of the Crime

At ages 18 and 19, Rixon engaged with a teenage girl, then aged 16 and 17, to create pornographic content. This operation, meant to fund Rixon's drug habits, involved distributing the explicit material through WhatsApp over several months. The court disclosed that Rixon became aware of the minor's age approximately five months after their collaboration commenced but chose to continue selling the content.

Investigation and Evidence

The illicit activities came to an end when the victim reported Rixon to Merseyside Police, leading to her arrest in August. During their investigation, authorities discovered 43 category A images, 11 category B images, and 119 category C images in Rixon's possession. Some of these images were transmitted via WhatsApp, though there was no evidence linking their sale directly to her OnlyFans platform.

Court Sentencing and Rehabilitation Orders

Judge Neil Flewitt KC decided against an immediate prison term, which could have extended up to six years. Instead, Rixon received a two-year suspended sentence coupled with mandatory participation in a 12-month drug rehabilitation program and a 30-day rehabilitation activity. Moreover, she is required to sign the sex offenders register and adhere to a sexual harm prevention order for ten years.

Defendant's Defense and Court's Consideration

In defense, attorney Lloyd Morgan emphasized Rixon's positive changes in attitude and behavior since her incarceration for bail breaches. He noted the vulnerabilities of both the perpetrator and the victim, acknowledging that financial motives initially drove their distribution of the content. However, Judge Flewitt pointed out the presence of exploitation by an unspecified third party and reiterated the legal protections for minors in such cases, highlighting the exploitation faced by both individuals involved.
