Tragic Incident During OnlyFans Video Leads to Murder Charge
Michaela Brashaye Rylaarsdam, a 31-year-old OnlyFans model, faces murder charges following the death of 55-year-old Michael Dale. The incident occurred during the filming of a BDSM fetish video at Dale's residence in Escondido, California, on April 17, 2023.
Details of the Fatal Video Session
According to reports from the San Diego Union-Tribune, during the session that was being recorded, Dale was completely wrapped in plastic wrap and duct tape, which led to his asphyxiation. Rylaarsdam, who confessed to authorities that she lacked prior experience with BDSM, was hired for $11,000 to perform these acts. The binding process involved covering Dale’s entire head with a plastic bag and taping his mouth shut, as per text messages found in the affidavit.
OnlyFans Content Creation Amid Fatal Oversight
While Dale was suffocating, Rylaarsdam reportedly engaged in sexual activities, which she recorded for her OnlyFans profile. Upon noticing Dale's distress, Rylaarsdam called emergency services and performed CPR until help arrived. Unfortunately, despite her attempts, Dale was pronounced brain-dead at a local hospital and subsequently taken off life support. The coroner confirmed asphyxiation as his official cause of death.
Legal Proceedings and Social Media Implications
The case has sparked discussions about the responsibilities and safety practices of content creators on platforms like OnlyFans, especially involving high-risk activities like BDSM. This incident highlights the critical importance of expertise and caution in such activities to prevent tragic outcomes.
