In a recent crackdown on illegal online activities, Lalada , a 23-year-old OnlyFans model popularly known as "Noon OnlyFans", was arrested in Bangkok’s Lat Phrao district. The Metropolitan Police Bureau (MPB) charged her with promoting online gambling, a development confirmed by Pol Maj Gen Theeradet Thumsuthee, the chief of investigation at MPB.
Evidence Gathered from Social Media Accounts
Authorities acted on evidence sourced from Lalada's various social media platforms. It's reported that she utilized her accounts to share links to gambling websites and encouraged her followers to participate in gambling activities. The model's promotion methods included direct encouragement for her followers to sign up and become members of specific gambling sites, notably "omega9" .
Details of the Arrest
Lalada's apprehension occurred on Wednesday when police conducted a search of her condominium. During the operation, officers inspected her iPhone and found extensive communications via her Facebook and Instagram accounts intended to promote these gambling platforms.
Confession and Remunerations
Following her arrest, Lalada confessed to her involvement in the gambling promotions. She disclosed that since 2018, she had been engaged by two websites to post content that advocated for online gambling. For her services, she was paid 20,000 baht (approximately $600) for every 30 photos she posted for each site.
Legal Proceedings
Upon collecting evidence, Lalada was taken to Chokchai police station, where she is currently held, awaiting further legal action. This case highlights ongoing legal actions against online content creators who engage in or promote illicit activities through their platforms.
