Overview of the OnlyFans-Related Incident
In a troubling event that occurred in April 2023, Southern California resident Michael Dale lost his life during a fetish session that was being filmed for OnlyFans content. The incident took place at Dale's home in Escondido, where he was reportedly partaking in BDSM activities organized by OnlyFans model Michaela Rylaarsdam, known online as Asshley SinCal.
Details of the Incident and Charges
Michael Dale reportedly paid over $11,000 for the session during which he was asphyxiated. Authorities found Dale unconscious, his head covered with Saran Wrap and duct tape, a situation that led to his inability to breathe. Video evidence retrieved from Rylaarsdam's phone showed the victim struggling shortly before the model called emergency services.
Following an investigation, the San Diego County Medical Examiner's Office classified Dale's death as homicide by asphyxia. Michaela Rylaarsdam, 29, has been charged with murder and is currently held without bail at the Las Colinas Detention Facility in San Diego County.
Impact on Social Media and Business Operations
Following her arrest, Rylaarsdam's social media presence, including her accounts on TikTok and X (formerly Twitter), have been deactivated. Nevertheless, her Instagram remains active, promoting her business, SinCal Entertainment, which offers adult entertainment services across California.
Additional Allegations and Court Proceedings
Further complicating the case, Brandon Rylaarsdam, Michaela's husband, has been implicated in encouraging the continuation of the fetish acts with Dale to financially exploit him, as detailed in the arrest warrant affidavit.
Michaela Rylaarsdam has pleaded not guilty to all charges. Her trial is scheduled for later in April, while the case continues to garner significant attention. The District Attorney's Office of San Diego County has withheld comments pending ongoing legal proceedings.
