Overview of the OnlyFans Connection in Cleveland Murder Case
Federal authorities are pushing for a lengthy 25-year prison sentence for a former U.S. Coast Guard veteran turned adult content creator on OnlyFans, known by her stage name Selena Savage. Savage is accused of orchestrating a murder in Cuyahoga Valley National Park, resulting in the victim being shot once in the back of the head in March 2021.
Details of the Crime Linked to OnlyFans Actress
After ending her military service, the accused started producing content on OnlyFans and engaged in communication over Facebook with the victim. She purportedly invited him to feature in a pornographic video, with filming planned in a nearby cemetery. On March 5, 2021, she allegedly fetched the victim from a bar in Hudson, Ohio, spent the night with him at an Airbnb in University Circle, and took him the next morning to Terra Vista Nature Study Area in Valley View, where she fatally shot him.
Efforts to Conceal the Murder
Post-murder, the accused apparently tried to maintain a facade of normalcy, even getting a tattoo symbolizing a noose with the phrase "Tighten Up," and flaunting it on social media with a celebratory caption about her weekend. She reportedly attempted to erase all traces of communication with the victim by deleting messages and disposing of his cellphone in a manner that it was not found.
Legal Proceedings and Psychological Factors
The court is considering multiple factors in the sentencing, including Savage's disturbed mental health history diagnosed with schizoaffective disorder. Noteworthy are her previous allegations against the victim of rape in 2017, which were never legally resolved due to insufficient evidence, leading her towards plotting revenge. The sentencing hearing is expected to include extensive testimonies regarding her mental state and statements from the victim's relatives.
Impact on the Victim's Family
The prosecutors have proposed that in addition to imprisonment, the accused should compensate the victim’s family with $597,000 covering lost earnings and funeral costs. The victim, a 31-year-old aspiring musician who had moved to Cleveland from Virginia, faced a tragic end far from his aspirations and family.
