Overview of the Incident
On February 13, a scheduled collaboration on the adult-content website OnlyFans took a violent turn in southeast Baltimore, leading to an ongoing manhunt for 32-year-old Tavaughn Lee from West Palm Beach, Florida. Lee is facing multiple charges including second-degree attempted murder and several assault charges.
Details of the Violent Encounter
The altercation occurred shortly before 8:00 p.m. after a meeting at the Executive Inn to discuss content creation for OnlyFans. The collaboration between Lee and an unidentified woman deteriorated after she requested to leave the vehicle due to discomfort with the locations Lee was driving to. Following her exit from the vehicle at a nearby truck stop on 5501 ODonnell St., Lee allegedly reversed his SUV, knocking her to the ground and driving over her before fleeing the scene.
Victim's Emergency Response and Hospitalization
The victim managed to contact emergency services from the truck stop, leading to her discovery with significant injuries on her left side. She was promptly taken to Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center for medical treatment.
Investigation and Evidence
The victim's quick thinking allowed her to provide the police with Lee's phone number and a credit card from the vehicle, which aided in confirming his identity. A photo lineup further implicated Lee as the perpetrator.
Law Enforcement Action and Public Appeal
An arrest warrant has been issued, with the U.S. Marshals Service joining the search due to the nature of the charges. Authorities, describing Lee as around 5'9" and weighing 150 lbs, are actively searching across states from Maryland to Florida. Deputy Marshal Al Maresca highlighted the importance of capturing Lee to ensure public safety.
The U.S. Marshals Service urges anyone with information on Lee’s whereabouts to contact them at 202-819-5058.
