Overview of Incident at Malta International Airport
A recent incident at Malta International Airport involving a former professional golfer turned OnlyFans model and her companion has led to their arrest. Paige Frankish, 25, from Kent, and John Chinedu Uche, 31, from London, faced multiple charges after their disruptive behavior while intoxicated prevented them from boarding their flight back to the UK.
Charges and Court Proceedings
The pair were charged with violently resisting arrest, refusing to obey legitimate orders from public officials, disturbing public peace, and public intoxication. Specifically, Frankish was also accused of causing damage estimated at $467 to a gate at the airport police station, and slightly injuring a police officer.
In court, evidence against Frankish included a denied boarding report from EasyJet, photographs of the damaged door, a repair quote, and a medical certificate for the injured officer. Paige Frankish and John Chinedu Uche both pleaded guilty to the charges laid out by Magistrate Abigail Critien.
Consequences and Fines
During the court proceedings, it was revealed that the altercation escalated to the point where the Rapid Intervention Unit had to be involved. Uche was subdued using a taser by the police, leading to a fine of approximately $6,400. The court session on June 15 saw Frankish appearing with a cast on her left arm.
